Sage is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a burn survivor. Being a burn survivor
Sage has had to learn to reinvent herself as well as her interpretation of the world around
her. Through her unique experience, knowledge and skill-set she has focused her
counseling approach to increase self-esteem, gain positive outlook on life and reduce
negative self-defeating thoughts and behaviors.
Sage studied her undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University- Idaho, where she
received her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and went on to get her Masters
of Science degree in Counseling at the University of Phoenix. Sage has been working for
the past four years at a residential substance-abuse facility in Salt Lake City. Sage has
expertise in both individual and group therapies.
Sage specializes in treating addictions, trauma, PTSD, anxiety and mood disorders,
depression and building self-esteem. She has training and is a provider of EMDR. Sage
also utilizes eclectic approaches to healing including cognitive behavioral therapy,
positive psychology and mindfulness to individualize therapy to the needs of her patients
and to help facilitate personal growth.
Sage has a comfortable and captivating personality and is an inspiration to everyone she
meets. Her philosophy is that there is a positive to be gained out of every obstacle. Sage
has overcome great obstacles and is passionate about helping others work through their
struggles and adversity to achieve balance and genuine happiness.
Sage enjoys having fun, traveling, music, and spending time with friends and family.
Sage is also a motivational speaker and enjoys travelling around the world to promote her
message of hope and encouraging positive thinking.
